If you could make a custom AG...

All this talk about doll hair colors got me thinking - I know we've had a lot of interesting posts about possible historical doll ideas, but what if you could custom-design your own doll? Besides a real Elizabeth, what combination of hair, eyes, face mold, etc. would you like to see?

I might want a true mini-me (long straight brown hair with a center part, blue eyes, NO freckles). However, I also would love a doll with long, honey-blonde hair and deep emerald green eyes.

What about you?

I'd want one with the "classic" face mold. That is, the one on the german dolls. Long curly black hair, pale skin, bright green eyes, pink lips...

Oh wait N/M I made that one. hehe

Seriously my Ophelia is the only human looking doll I wanted that they don't make.

I would like to see more short and/or curly haired dolls though. I HATE the long straight hair with bangs. It's boring, annoying, and WAY too 70s. Of course that is merely reflective of when the original AG headmold and wig style was designed for the G?tz Modell line.

Definitely a doll with long, curly hair. I don't even care what color. The long, straight hair with bangs is getting tiresome.

I'd love a true curly haired doll. Not one with the ends curled a tiny bit like Samantha, but one with true springy curls, and mounds of them, probably in blonde but dark would be pretty to.
I think the reason AG hasn't already done this is it would be difficult to brush, Little girls like to brush doll hair and that would probably ruin the curls. Those dolls you see with the curls and china faces all dressed in some eleborate fancy dress are not dolls that are normally played with everyday like an AG doll. Still it would be so pretty.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Exactly what I was thinking, if they did something like Shirley Temple curls, yes, then it would be way to hard to brush. On the other hand, how would AG get it to stay curly like that, anyway? Hairspray?

There are so many possible combinations....I would love a red head curly long hair, or a red head short bob with bangs.

So many girls have bobs with bangs, I am surprised they overlooked this style. Well, I guess Nellie kind of covers it, but I'm thinking more of a chin length bob!

I know they aren't really in style for girls now, but I just think they make little girls look like little girls!! DD is thinking she might want to grow hers out, but I told her she could after her first communion pictures next year!

A blonde curly (like Marisols) with bangs and blue eyes, light skin would be a perfect look a like for DD.

I would want a true mini me type doll. She would look similar to Marisol; the same color of hair, face mold and eyes, but with lighter skin and straight hair. Or hazel eyes, mine are dark brown but I always wished I had my dads hazel eyes, they are really beautiful imo. But my eyes are so dark that even colored contacts meant for brown eyes cant change them!

I would also love to see a doll with dark brown hair (like Samantha's) cut in a very short wavy bob with little bangs; basically a 1920s style doll. But thats really more of a historical doll wish. But I agree with what someone else said about hair length. I would like to see more dolls with hair the length of AGT21s, but not curly, I think that would be cute.
